The Messenger is a Terran satellite used in mid-range communications and detection.
Mostly used to relay data transmissions on a planet, a Messenger is an essential part in maintaining the daily life of civilians.
With the constant threat of alien invasion, most planetary militias equip these satellites with the best long range sensors available. In the event of such crises, Messengers alert all planetary forces of immediate threats from a distance of at least 2 lightyears.
Should invaders try to destroy them, Messengers have been programmed to act as makeshift proximity mines to slow any threat down. Before detonation, the satellites will usually send out a black box recording device to the nearest Terran planet through warp space to warn them of impending attack.

- Detector
- Radar (passive) - reveals enemy movement across the map
- Self-destruct (autocast) - unit explodes at less than 50% health dealing 300 damage to nearby units
