The Flux circuit is an auxiliary Plug-in used to increase survivability against ground based threats.
Shaped like an Orb with some parts made of psionic energy, these devices fly to friendly structures and interfaces with them. Once combined, they rearrange some spare components to make the structures capable of handling atmospheric pressures similar to Terran buildings. It then emits a ring of pure gravitons to make the building interfaced with it hover. Though the building cannot move like the Terrans, they can still function in constructing, warping, and research tasks.
While seemingly minor in defensive purposes, the vast majority of siege forces of other races are generally ground based such as tanks and heavy mechs. As a result, buildings with Flux circuits have a decidedly greater survival rate than most as long as users maintain at least some air superiority.
Flux circuits have the additional function of giving units extra shielding after construction.
Special abilities:
- GRAVITY RING (Interface) - forms a +1000 shield energy ring around a friendly structure allowing it to hover. Building cannot be damaged by enemies without anti-air attack or special weapons. After 1000 energy is drained or damaged, building returns to the ground and can be attacked normally
- Adds +30% shielding to constructed units
